Darryl A. Simon, M.S., SPHR
Darryl, a principal in the Green Resource Group, is a senior-level strategist, executive coach and advisor with a proven track record in designing and implementing programs that retain and develop people, improve organizations and produce breakthrough results, He has achieved his accomplishments through twenty-five years of consulting and executive assignments within a diverse range of organizations in commercial, government and non-profit sectors.
Darryl was formerly Senior Vice President, Human Resources with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, a $5.6 billion Washington, DC based office real estate investment trust (REIT) where he overhauled the firm's HR strategy and function, and implemented succession planning, management development and employee engagement initiatives. He also held positions as Vice President, Human Resources and Executive Officer with USEC, a Bethesda, MD based global energy company where he directed HR and organizational development activities for the $3.3 billion privatization of the U.S. government's uranium enrichment operation; and Vice President HR Planning & Organizational Development for ManorCare Health Services, where he directed succession planning, leadership development and organizational development programs.
Darryl organizes professional development programs and presents extensively to professional and industry associations on a wide range of human resources, leadership and organizational development issues and topics. Darryl has written on leadership and organizational development for The Business Monthly and also sponsored Simon Says, a weekly radio segment on leadership and organizational development on WBIS 1190 AM business radio in Annapolis, Maryland, and has appeared on the station's weekly news magazine, Maryland Matters. He also appeared on Tomorrow's Business, a news magazine on Washington, DC's WWRC 570 AM business radio.
Darryl earned his Master of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Science and Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Communications from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
